The manual for your USBBlox USB to ethernet adapter states that the USB connection is made through a USB-A connector and that when connected to a device, an ethernet port is added. This suggests that it would be used on the controller side of a system (like a pc or laptop). Does this device work on usb peripherals? I’m looking for a rugged USB, compact, embedded USB extension/ ethernet converter to communicate with usb devices over distance.
Unfortunately the USB side of USBBlox has to be connected to a host device, like a PC. It won’t work if you connect the USB side to a peripheral device like a USB camera.
