Rugged SOM + Switch no IP

Hello,

I’ve got 3x of the switch and SOM stacked and am lookin to get into the device for configuration of the OpenWRT software. I followed the instructions for stacking, and the default software load.

I powered the device with 12V, also used 5.5V and both work fine. I see lights on, and when changing ports physically see the associated lights change as they should. I have a physical connection on the ethernet port but cannot see an IP address.

Using this doc: Notion, i put my computer on the 192.168.2.x/24 subnet and am unable to ping the device. I tried a couple different laptops and multiple LAN ports and the WAN port just in case, no luck. Tried to access the webpage in case it was just not pinging, no luck.

Wanted to check that i am not missing anything common, and that the OpenWRT should have already came loaded onto the device before further troubleshooting?

Hi there,

Can you confirm when you purchased the Rugged SOM. The older variants don’t have software pre-loaded but all the units shipping now do. Let us know the purchase date and we’ll check.

Yup, that should definitely have the software. Let’s start with your hardware setup. Can you send a photo of the assembly so we can check the stack looks ok?
