I was wondering if you have a solution for the following challenge
I have 2 subsea oil filled pods with 2 standard connectors(nothing special for networking) and a twisted pair cable.
The distance between the pods is 20 meters.
Over those connectors I want to transfer
the single pair Ethernet, or even if more pairs are required for the Ethernet also ok.
24v power 10amp.(if possible)
some digital and analog sensor signals)
Is it possible to setup a network connection over this connectors/cable of 1Gb or even 10Gb?
I found the SPEBLOX 10G but expect the device works on 10Gbps or not, or is auto detecting the maximum bandwith which is possible over the connection.
How many total contacts do you have on your connectors? You have a single twisted pair cable, so that could work for Single Pair Ethernet; what connector is used for that? But your other connectors, what connectors are they and how many contacts do they have?
Can you clarify your question here?

Are you looking for something that can autonegotiate a speed? If so, why? Surely you just want the fastest speed possible?
The connector I’m thinking of is the GIsma 10 serie 02 with 19 contacts of 1mm2.
From the pc upto connector → cable → connector → pc can be more twisted pairs if required.

Yes what is possible in a normal setup without the use of special cables / connectors andso.
I’m not sure I follow what you’re asking so I’ll answer what I think you are asking, and you can correct me.
You can use something like this or this to generate a 1Gbps single pair ethernet connection on your twisted pair. Your range of 20 meters is quite close to the limit of 22 meters though, so you’d need to make sure you use the right kind of wiring (28AWG, twisted pair), and the right connectors. The connectors you shared look like high power connectors, they will affect the SPE signal quite badly. I don’t think you’ll be able to get a 20 meter range on the SPE link using those connectors. You might get 5-10 meters, but difficult to say.
What data rate do you need on the SPE connection? You could use this but that’s only 10Mbps. SPEBlox 10G is definitely not going to get you 20 meters using those connectors.
I was also afraid that the connectors has a bad influence on the signal.
But thanks for checking
1 question, is there no 100Mbps version available which can reach a longer distance?
Unfortunately no, 100Mbps SPE has similar restrictions to 1Gbps SPE. You could try HomePlug or Gigabit home network. Both technologies that allow transmission over a single pair. It’s just not something we sell. You could try something like this
