We use dual footprints on UbiSwitch BaseBoard. These dual footprints can accommodate both a Molex PicoClasp 8 way connector (5013310807) or a Molex PicoBlade 8 way connector (530470810) (obviously not both at the same time).
The Molex PicoClasp connector is surface mount, whereas the Molex PicoBlade is a through hole. UbiSwitch Baseboard comes with the Molex PicoClasp part populated by default.
From the looks of things, your connectors have snapped off, and that’s probably pulled the surface mount pads off the board too. That means you won’t be able to re-solder on the Molex PicoClasp. (In any case, soldering surface mount connectors with hot air, without burning the connector plastic, isn’t easy).
However, the through hole pads are unaffected by the damage, so you could purchase and solder on the Molex PicoBlade. You’d need to change the cable too to Molex PicoBlade to RJ-45 (you can buy these here).
That way, you don’t need to purchase a new baseboard.
