I have the following questions about Link Aggregation on UbiSwitch:
Does the link aggregation setup support LACP protocol?
Can the link aggregation support up to 2 Gbps throughput when aggregated?
What hashing algorithm do you use to decide which packets (from which clients) go down which aggregated link? Our current development switch uses SRC IP or SRC MAC, we can work with SRC IP as we can set the IP address ourselves but we cannot set the MAC addresses and if we don’t have the right pair of cameras then all packets are sent down one link
Does the link aggregation setup support LACP protocol?
Link aggregation setup is a static link aggregation, LACP is not supported yet. LACP requires an inband processor to check the incoming/outgoing data. That’s something we have in development, but not yet functional.
Can the link aggregation support up to 2 Gbps throughput when aggregated?
Yes, link aggregation of 2x 1Gbps has a theoretical maximum throughput of 2Gbps

Currently, the hashing algorithm computes on the MAC destination address and MAC source address is used for LAG port selection. However we can look at seeing if we can use higher level protocols like IP in future if useful.
