Please provide typical efficiencies for the 5V regulator over input voltage and load. I am particularly interested in efficiency at 12Vin, 250 and 500mA 5V load.

- IOUT = 250 mA: ~89–90% (≈ 89.5% typical)
- IOUT = 500 mA: ~88.5–89.5% (≈ 89% typical)

Out of interest, why do you ask?
thank you for the response, battery powered 5V system that is very expensive to recharge so I wanted to make sure it made sense to use Vout instead of adding an external regulator.
