As I say, I just want the 8 port switch and don’t need the SFP cages that are too bulky. Can I buy the board without it?
We don’t sell BB-UD1-B-1-NDAA without the SFP+ connector, however you can actually remove the connector yourself from the board.
The SFP+ connector uses spring pins to attach to the board, it is not soldered in. This means you can use a spudger or similar tool to pry the SFP cage away from the board.
Be careful not to damage the transformers on the board while doing this.
