Question:
I am assembling a drone harness and need to connect your products to the “standard” Pixhawk ethernet connector on Arc Electronics.
Are your cables “plug and play” compatible? If not, is their a product I can order?
We have chatted looking for a product that could support QOS tagging and some port specific routing control. I think you had some efforts in the works. Any update as to a product that may be available soon?
Answer:
Our standard cables are not plug-and-play with the Ark Pixhawk Ethernet connector, as the Ark carrier uses the Pixhawk Autopilot Bus Ethernet pinout, whereas our boards expose Ethernet via Molex PicoBlade connectors.
You can use the cable adapter we sell or you can crimp your own cable.

You can also use DroneNet, which uses the Pixhawk Ethernet standard for one of the ports.
On QoS and routing, we do have SwitchBlox Rugged + Rugged SOM. Together, they form a 5 port 10/100M router that runs OpenWRT, which gives you a GUI accessible over any of the ethernet ports. This supports QoS tagging and nearly every other type of routing protocol you would need.
