It’s possible, but again, not sure why that would suddenly decide not to work when a SiYi is connected first. In theory, it’s independent from that.
You could try changing disabling auto-mdix in ARIES.

I ran a few tests this morning.
I had the siyi plugged into port 2 and the herelink into port 5 with default configs and it connects successfully about 50% of the time.
If I switch the two ports, I couldn’t get it to connect, the herelink port light never came on at all.
If I turn off Auto MDI/MDIX it works every time, no matter which port I plug which device into.
So I’m going to continue evaluating the boards with Auto MDI/MDIX turned off. I will let you know if I find any more useful information.
Can you let me know if there is any ability to reproduce/track down this bug on your end? I would be happy send you any logs/captures if you need.
Thanks for letting me know, my apologies for the delayed response. Do you mind if I bring this thread to the forum for the benefit of our community?
Regarding logs and captures, if what you mean is wireshark, it’s unlikely this will show much. An issue with auto-mdix is long resolved before wireshark will start receiving packets.
That being said, it is strange that there is some interplay with the SiYi, so yes, actually if you could run a wireshark trace on what your computer sees from the switch when the SiYi and herelink connects, that would be quite useful.
What’s probably more interesting is for us to replicate this and run a capture on our oscilloscope so we can see the low level signals being exchanged.
Let’s start with your wireshark capture I think.

I have attached a couple wireshark traces.
I have no problem if you place this issue on the community forum.
