Is there a recommended ETH to UART controller for the UbiSwitch that would allow an admin to access & manage the UbiSwitch CLI over SSH2?
We don’t have a specific suggestion, but we know this has been used to successfully control UbiSwitch’s UART port over an ethernet network.
what IP and port would you use to connect over ethernet.
The switch itself has a UART port so it doesn’t have an IP address. When you connect a UART to Ethernet converter to the UART port, that converter will have an IP address which you can use to access it. The datasheet for the converter you use should tell you what that IP address is.
Confirmed that this works using this module.
