I am currently designing a system that incorporates the BB-UD1-B-1 and BB-UBS-B-1 modules. I would like to know whether it is feasible to relocate each of the eight 1GBASE-T ports to the opposite side of the board by desoldering and resoldering them. Would the BB-UD1-B-1 maintain full functionality if this modification were performed?

Technically, yes you could remove the top facing surface mount Molex PicoClasp connectors, then use through-hole Molex Picoblade (MPN: **[530470810](https://www.molex.com/en-us/products/part-detail/530470810 "530470810")**) on the other side. There is certainly space on the bottom of the board to fit those Molex Picoblade. You’d need to remake the cables though, as this will flip the pin order.

This would also void the warranty and wouldn’t be something we can support if there are issues.
