# Potting botblox boards

I’m looking for some solutions to build some prototypes that include Ethernet switches. I’m wanting to pot everything. Do you have any guidance or information about potting your switches? I would likely want to remove the connectors and solder the cables directly to the boards. But do you have any other information or success stories about potting your switches?

I’m afraid I have no information on potting of our switches. I’m sure some customers have done it, but they haven’t let us know.

In theory, all of our hardware is pottable, but the boards that dissipate a bit more power will need a potting compound that conducts heat. Thermally conductive potting compound will actually aid in thermal dissipation, thus improving performance.
