# How do I get passive PoE working on SwitchBlox Industrial

Does your Switchblox Industrial provide passive PoE? What if the voltage is only 12V?

Yes SwitchBlox Industrial does that. It’s this type of passive PoE which is technically non-standard, but still pretty common to see.

To enable this feature on SwitchBlox Industrial requires soldering a 0R resistor to the board, however.

Then you just use the DIP switch to enable PoE injection on a port-by-port basis (see page 12 of the [datasheet](https://store-l0hv1zrcre.mybigcommerce.com/content/SwitchBlox%20Industrial%20DataSheet%20D_C.pdf))
