Hello,
I’m really interested in your PoEBlox Board for my team next developments. I have questions about the future PSE management:

- Do you have any schedule on the release of PSE management feature?
- Documentation indicate in 2.2.4 UART port “PoE toggle”. Is it the possibility to switch ON/OFF a PoE port? If yes, will it be possible to switch ON/OFF port individually?
- Do you have plan to control the PSE via Ethernet itself? Like for example telnet commands?

I’m planning to buy some GigaBlox Nano and PoEBlox for immediate tests. Will it be possible to update them with future Firmware that you will release? We have STM32CubeProgrammer, ST-LinkV3… and we are familiar with µC flashing.

Thank you for your feed back.
Regards

Antoine

Thanks for reaching out. We don’t have a schedule on it yet, if more customers ask about it we will accelerate it.

It would be a UART toggle, on a port by port basis. So you can configure and toggle PoE on each port over a command line interface on the 3.3V UART serial port.

It won’t be possible to implement the same functionality over one of the ethernet ports, the hardware lacks the capability todo that.

What you purchase now will be flashable when we release this functionality. PoEBlox is sold with the microcontroller circuitry attached, it’s just not implementing management firmware, so it will be possible to flash it with the management firmware later.

I’ll reach out to you directly to discuss your application privately.
